Studio Lighting Courses
Due
to constant requests we now offer two courses for
lighting techniques.
Many of our past delegates have asked for a follow on
course building upon the
knowledge gained on the Lighting for Fashion seminar.
All courses include a professional model and Victoria
Foster, a professional make-up artist,
who will be on hand all day. A light lunch is provided
and refreshments are available all day.
Portfolio critiques will be accommodated for where time
allows.
During the day delegates are encouraged to shoot each
step of the seminar and to set up
and measure lighting sets where appropriate.

Course 1. Lighting for Fashion.
This full day course includes:
Exposure measurement
Setting up
Light control using reflectors and flags
Use of various attachments commonly used in fashion and
beauty lighting such as Octa light banks, Maxilights,
Honeycombs
Lighting backgrounds
The day has a very full programme and particular
attention is paid to measurement and visualisation of
the scene as well as the particular properties of each
attachment in terms of its light quality etc.

2 Lighting for Fashion Advanced
This
full day course includes:
Multiple light set ups - using up to six lights
Backlighting, rim lights, hair lights
Mixed light sources and coloured gels
Location lighting using battery packs, high performance
reflectors
As well as lighting techniques examples of 'real world
briefs' will be discussed with contact sheets and the
resulting chosen image and its
useage.
